What Causes TMJ Pain?
The temporomandibular joints, or TMJs, connect your jaw to your skull and help you perform everyday movements such as chewing, speaking, and opening your mouth. When these joints or the surrounding muscles become strained, you may experience jaw pain, headaches, facial discomfort, or clicking and popping when moving your jaw.
TMJ discomfort can have several possible causes, including teeth grinding, clenching, muscle tension, or stress. Our team will evaluate your symptoms and help determine an appropriate approach to improve your comfort and jaw function.
