Dental Examination

Dr. Natalia Homyak DDS and Associates take pride in practicing general dentistry and helping their patients restore the function and appearance of their teeth.

A dental examination is the first step to take in improving your overall dental health. Dental exams are essential to allow our doctors to better understand your teeth and gums. After establishing your dental health, we will work with you and make a plan to help you achieve healthy teeth and a beautiful smile.

Which General Dentistry Procedures Are Available?

Our office offers a range of services to ensure that your teeth and gums will remain healthy and functioning.

Oral Exam and Dental Cleaning

These services are vital to keeping your gums and teeth healthy. Dental exams are essential to preventing early signs of dental disease.

Your gums and dental hygiene are the foundation for good overall mouth health. Dental cleanings should be done at least once every 6 months. Our hygienists are caring, thorough and ready to make your smile shine!

Cosmetic Bonding

This procedure can fix small chips and wear on your teeth.

Dental Fillings

Fillings restore a portion of a tooth that has tooth decay. Our Doctors will clean out any cavity from the tooth. Then, fill the tooth with white composite material that matches the natural color of the tooth. Leaving the patient with a tooth that looks like it never had anything done.

Onlays

These are used to fill teeth that have larger cavities. Onlays provide more support for a tooth that may have a cavity too large for a filling. Onlays are made from a white porcelain material that matches the natural color of the tooth. The onlay is shaped like a puzzle piece, fitting the tooth seamlessly. Unlike other dental offices, Natalia Homyak DDS and Associates uses an in-office machine to make crowns and onlays. This means the patient does not have to go home with a temporary onlay on their tooth while their permanent one is made offsite at a dental lab. This appointment usually takes about 2 hours and there is no need for a second visit!

Sealants

These can prevent the formation of cavities on teeth. Sealants are a thin protective covering placed on the molars. Sealants are especially helpful in preventing cavities in children and patients with deep grooves in their teeth.

The Best Time to Visit the Dentist

Most people visit a dentist only when they have a toothache or another issue with their teeth. However, if you wish to preserve your teeth for years to come, you will want to visit the dentist as recommended, to prevent any discomfort or expenses down the road.

A regular dental visit is vital to ensuring that your teeth remain free of tooth decay. During the visit, our doctors can examine your teeth to detect and treat any issues before they worsen. Everyone should visit the dentist at least once a year. However, if you are prone to plaque buildup and gum disease, you will want to visit your dentist more often.
